The St. Bonaventure’s College faculty are incredibly talented, show ingenuity and great caring. The purpose of the SBC Moodle platform is to continue to foster relationships while maintaining the academic rigor of St. Bonaventure’s College from remote learning locations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The primary aim of the ongoing remote student learning is to help improve and assess student skill acquisition or concept understanding, as opposed to evaluating those skills and understandings in a summative way. In this way students will be prepared for their transition to their next year of study, whether that be to Grade One or to University.
In addition to offline work, our teachers and students will continue to meet virtually in real time in order to foster the in-class, group-learning experience. We have prepared a document that outlines the guidelines for parents/guardians and students. The virtual learning guidelines can be found HERE.
