Our 2017 Christmas Concerts have been a great success, thanks in no small part to our Choral Directors, Ms. Brenda Gatherall and Ms. Susan Quinn, and our Band Director, Ms. Vincenza Etchegary.

On Tuesday, December 5th, our Senior Christmas Concert showcased several bands and choirs, including the Wind Ensemble,Symphonic Band, Junior Jazz Band, Senior Jazz Band, Camerata Choir, Senior Treble Choir and Madrigal Choir. The talents displayed in these performances are unparalleled. Science teacher Ms. Carolyn Power choreographed a dance troupe to accompany the Wind Ensemble and Guidance Counsellor Ms. Joanne Morgan blew the house down with a drum solo.

The following night, our Elementary Christmas concert featured two student- written plays. Grade 6 students Olivia Carew, Lucy Philpott and Megan Murphy wrote “Christmas Chaos” for their class, while Grade 6 students Veronica Cura, Cecelia Hollett, Morgan Hull and Luci Thoms wrote “A Foggy Christmas in Newfoundland” for theirs. The Elementary Choir provided the music for both plays, and the Concert Band and Beginning Band performed wonderful Christmas selections.

On Thursday, December 14, our Grade 3 classes led two amazing plays, “Twinkle and Shine” and “The Littlest Christmas Tree”, supported by out K-2 choir and director Ms. Brenda Gatherall. A special thank you to accompanist Tim Brennan ’11, who played piano for both the Elementary and Primary concerts.
