On Tuesday, November 6th, 2018, our Grade 9 students, in conjunction with the No Stone Left Alone Foundation, held the second NO Stone Left Alone Ceremony in Newfoundland. Our 2017 Grade 9 and 11 students hosted the inaugural Newfoundland Ceremony last November. The students placed almost 1000 poppies at the graves of veterans buried in the Field of Honour at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Grade 9 students Liam F and Elizabeth O delivered a thoughtful reflection on the importance of remembrance and honouring those who dedicated themselves to service.

Thank you to all grade 9’s, to Mr. Peters for working with the Grade 9 students to make this possible, to our readers: Rogan B ’22, Alana G ’22, and Ashlyn M ’22, to our wreath layers: Leah M ’22 and Jake Y ’22 and to Amelia S ’20 for playing the Last Post. A special thank you to General Wayne Foster for representing the No Stone Left Alone Foundation and Steve Austin of Veterans Affairs for attending.
