We are looking for an Ignatian leader – an individual called to magnify the Jesuit pillars of Magis, AMDG and cura personalis – to ensure that these foundations permeate throughout the school community. We are looking for a President who is not afraid of the audacity of the impossible.
The President of St. Bonaventure’s College is the visionary leader of the school and its chief executive officer, reporting directly to the Board of Governors and missioned by the Jesuit Provincial of Canada. The President is responsible for the spiritual, educational, and financial strength of the school, and as such: ensures the fulfillment of the school’s Ignatian mission; envisions, plans and prepares for the schools future; secures the financial resources needed for the school’s success today; fosters the school’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence; and is a visible example of an Ignatian leader.
The ideal candidate is: a practicing Catholic who understands and embraces Ignatian mission, spirituality, and pedagogy; a strategic thinker; an engaging and inspiring communicator; an effective fundraiser; an experienced educator; and a collaborative manager possessing strong business and financial acumen.
