We are pleased to announce that singer/songwriter and nine-time GRAMMY nominee Matt Maher will deliver the 2019 Arrupe Lecture on Monday, May 13th at 7:00 pm at St. Bonaventure’s College. Matt Maher Bio

Since his 2008 major label debut, Matt Maher has become a staple in the artistic and songwriting community. An nine-time-GRAMMY nominee, he has garnered multiple radio successes writing and recording songs like “What A Friend,” “Lord, I Need You,” “Hold Us Together,” “Christ Is Risen,” “Because He Lives (Amen)” and “Your Grace Is Enough.” Maher has penned songs recorded by Chris Tomlin, Crowder, Third Day, Matt Redman, Hillsong, Casting Crowns, Jesus Culture and Bethel among others. Maher has been a full time headline touring artist since 2007 as well as performed as part of Chris Tomlin’s Worship Night in America, The Rock and Worship Road Show among many others. Maher performed in Rio in front of Pope Francis and a crowd of 3 million people, as well as performing in Philadelphia, PA as part of the World Meeting of Families with The Fray, Aretha Franklin, Juanes, Jim Gaffigan, among others. Maher was recently also awarded his first RIAA Platinum certification for sales of over 1 Million copies of his popular single “Lord, I Need You.”
