The Student Council in partnership with the Social Justice Committee will be having a Coffee House this Sunday, November 6th.

Time: 7:00-9:00 p.m

Location: Aula Maxima

$5 minimum donation at the door

(12 Grade 12 students will be attending the Ignatian Family Teach-in for Justice in Washington, D.C., where they will be advocating for social justice issues globally and, through solidarity, learn, reflect and pray as a community.)

We will be fundraising for the Canadians Jesuits Intentional (CJI) Go for Dollo campaign which aims to highlight the strategic response of the Jesuits to the ongoing challenges refugees face, with a specific focus on Education. Education is one the key building blocks for peace and stability. Over 45,300 refugees of Somali origin are living in the Melkadida camp, located in Dollo Aldo, Ethiopia. The Jesuits run different training sessions including hair dressing, tailoring, plumbing, embroidery/henna, which help provide them with opportunities in the city and offer their skills to produce what can be later sold at local markets.
