We believe that teamwork is just as important as homework. That’s why our Hockey Program, in partnership with Xtreme Hockey, offers personalized skill development led by professional coaches, with coordinated academic and athletic scheduling so our students get the well-rounded education they deserve.

We are very excited that St. Bonaventure’s College has partnered with Xtreme Hockey, offering an intensive 32-week hockey training program as an addition to our curriculum. On-ice training takes place during the school day primarily on campus at the St. Bon’s Forum (alternative training site at Capital Hyundai Arena, transportation is included when this is the case).

Full Hockey Program – $3,175 per year

This intensive training program will include:

  • 32-week training program for U9, U11, U13, U15
  • 3 hours per week of on-ice training during the school day*
  • 1 hour of dry-land training per week
  • Additional dry-land training incorporated as part of the regular SBC Phys Ed Program
  • Branded apparel including a jersey, socks, hat, tracksuit and shorts
  • On-ice training will take place primarily on campus at the SBC Forum (alternative training site at Capital Hyundai Arena, transportation will be included when this is the case)
  • All players must wear full hockey gear including neck guard, face guard and face masks while on the ice
  • Players will be monitored to ensure academic performance remains consistent to continue in the Hockey Program
  • Players will have priority registration in XTREME programs outside of the school program with a discount of 25%
  • Teams and groupings will be determined after registration and skill evaluations are completed

Players may have the opportunity to travel with SBC Hockey. Travel costs and tournament registration fees will be in addition to the program fee above and will be communicated to parents in advance if they wish to participate.

* Our goal is to ensure Hockey Program students succeed both on and off the ice. To help minimize lost academic instruction time, on-ice training will include (but not be limited to) the hour before classes start in the morning and lunchtime.

Acceptance into the Program can only occur after acceptance and registration to the school.

Skating Skills Option – $1,150 per year

Designed for students who wish to learn to skate or improve their skating skills, this program includes one-hour per week of ice-time for 32-weeks.

Acceptance into the Program can only occur after acceptance and registration to the school.
