St. Bonaventure’s College hosts a number of fundraising events each year. These events help us to raise money to ensure St. Bon’s can meet its operational budget.
St. Bon’s Cash Lottery
This year St. Bonaventure’s College SBC Cash Lottery will run from September 24th to November 10th, with the draw taking place on November 24th. The Lottery features a Grand Prize of $10,000, second prize of $2,000 and third prize of $1,000. Tickets for our lottery are $10 each or 3 for $20.
St. Bon’s has traditionally held a Walkathon in the fall; however, this year we are changing things up, moving it to January and replacing it with a Skate-a-thon for K-Grade 6 and a Wake-a-thon for Grade 7-12. Both events will raise funds to support a variety of curricular initiatives.
Emerald Gala – Take 2
After being cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to announce that Emerald Gala – Take 2 will be held in March 2022. This event will be held at the Sheraton Hotel and will allow the St. Bonaventure’s College community to participate in an evening of fun and socializing while supporting the fund-raising needs of the school. Evening activities include a wonderful dinner, live band and dancing, a silent auction, a live auction, and many raffles and games. The auction items attract lots of attention and provide opportunities for experiences and acquisitions that cannot be found anywhere else. Attendees from prior galas say this is one of the high points of our fund-raising year.
The Annual St. Bon’s Cup Golf Tournment is held each June. Participants enjoy an afternoon on the green at Bally Haly Golf Course, followed by a delicious meal back at the club house. Each year the St. Bon’s Cup has been more successful than the last. The proceeds from the St. Bon’s Cup supports the ongoing projects in the school such as facilities upgrades, curriculum enhancements, the bursary program, etc.
