Ms. Annette Mallay

Following a thorough selection process, the Search Committee has recommended to our President, Mr. Tom McGrath and he has accepted their recommendation and appointed Mrs. Annette Mallay to a five-year term as the Principal of St. Bonaventure’s College effective July 1, 2017.

Mrs. Mallay has been at St. Bon’s since the school re-opened in September 1999.  An outstanding French teacher, she brings valuable experience in school administration in the Catholic, Jesuit tradition.  Mrs. Mallay holds Bachelors Degrees in Arts & Secondary Education (English/French) and a Masters of Educational Leadership Studies from Memorial University.  She has completed extensive research in the history of the Society of Jesus and its influences in education.  She has completed the first year of a two-year leadership program offered by the Jesuit Schools Network and she has completed the Spiritual Exercises.  Mrs. Mallay comes to her new position with ten years’ experience as Assistant Principal at St. Bonaventure’s College, including service as the Co-Chair of the school’s strategic planning process.

“In Mrs. Mallay, I believe we have found an experienced leader with the vision and skills necessary to help guide an academically excellent and mission-driven school so that we can build on our achievements and excel further.  She has a proven track record as a strategic leader who is committed to the school’s Jesuit and Catholic school traditions,” said President McGrath.
