On Thursday, March 10th we held our 3rd Annual Ignatius Society Dinner in the historical Mullock Episcopal Library and Museum   The event brought together Society members with the administrative staff and special guests.   The event was hosted by His Grace Archbishop Martin Currie.  The meal was wonderfully prepared by our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Annette Mallay and served by our senior high students.

During the evening, new members were presented with their Ignatius Society membership pin, and President, Mr. Tom McGrath updated members on the valuable work of the bursary program.  A new Ignatius Society video was premiered, prepared by Ryan Hayward ’04.

Violinist and tenth grader Jacob Bennett performed two beautiful pieces, Partita No 2, Allemanda and Partita No 3, Gavotte en Rondeau.

Named in honour of St. Ignatius Loyola, Ignatius Society members make a real impact on a student’s life at St. Bon’s by pledging $1,000 per year for five years.

By committing to the Ignatius Society members help shape the lives of many children who benefit from Bursary Assistance.

Special thanks to the following:  Mrs. Mallay, Ms. Morgan, Ms. Cummings, Ms. Cardwell, Mr. Hayward ’04 and Ms. Stagg.  We also thank our fabulous student servers and alumni wine stewards for their service.

If you’d like further information about the work of the Ignatius Society or wish to become a member, please contact the President’s Office.
