We are excited to announce that our air purifiers have arrived.
We felt it was incredibly important to purchase these devices as they help to reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. This is not the only benefit we will see; they will also reduce the transmission of other airborne viruses and help with allergies. We will enjoy these benefits for years to come.
The cost for these air purifiers was significant – $72,500. This purchase was not included in our 2021-22 budget and the provincial government has told us that we are NOT eligible to receive funding for them. We have asked our community to help cover the cost and so far we have had 50 donors come forward. These contributions total approx. $15,000 We are grateful for these donors and their generosity.
As one donor said to me, “if everyone pays a little bit we should be able to cover the cost without hurting St. Bon’s finances”. We are asking that you consider donating to help us raise the addition $57,500 to cover the cost. No donation is too small.
