St. Bonaventure’s College Commencement Exercises is traditionally held on a Sunday morning at the end of June and is a celebration of our graduates.  The exercises begin with a mass in our school chapel.  Dressed in academic regalia, each graduate processes with a staff member to the chapel to share in a special mass for graduation.

After the mass the graduates, accompanied by their parents, join the faculty and staff for the Alumni Tie Ceremony.  During this ceremony an alumnus of the school presents the Alumni Tie to each graduate and in turn, the graduate presents their school tie to their parents.  This ceremony signifies the completion of their studies at St. Bon’s and their entrance into the Alumni community.

The final part of our Commencement Exercises is the formal presentation of our graduates.  Each graduate is celebrated and honored for their contributions to the school. Following the presentation of graduates, formal scholarships and awards are given to the students who have been recognized, by staff and faculty, for their academic, athletic, musical and leadership abilities.

The celebration concludes with a social with faculty, family, friends and peers of the graduates held in the Aula Maxima.
